The Bureau for the Participation of Children and Adolescents collects new proposals and concerns of the smallest (27/06/2017)

The Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, chaired this morning a new meeting of the Bureau for the Participation of Children and Adolescents held in the City Museum.

Along with her was the technical head of Social Rights, Andres Duarte, a UNICEF advisory representative and, of course, ten children between the ages of 9 and 16 who have shaped the commission.

Four of the minors have been designated in the projects of activities with children and cybernauts, developed by the Department, 3 have been chosen by other entities with projects with minors within the Caixa Proinfancia plan, while the remaining 3 come from the disability federations Of the municipality of Murcia.

"It is very important to listen to the opinion of the little ones, sometimes we think they are outside of what happens in their environment but when we let them get involved in making decisions and proposals we realize that they are very aware of what they need And who better than them to set priorities on the decisions that will influence their day to day, "stressed Conchita Ruiz.

At the meeting the proposals for improvement in various social areas that concern children in different aspects such as leisure and free time, issues in the educational field or in health matters have been exposed.

On the other hand Conchita Ruiz has responded to the consultations and proposals raised by the minors in the last session, thanks to the involvement of all the councils.

Thus, the creation of new recreational points in parks and gardens of the municipality, the increase of socio-health programs in the classrooms or the reinforcement of the campaigns against bullying are some of the issues that have been discussed this morning, having On the table the technical reports of each one of the areas in which the actions carried out and planned in these matters are collected.
