The PSOE requires Ballesta to explain "why it has allowed the archeological remains of Tabala to be destroyed" (27/06/2017)

The councilor of the Municipal Socialist Group, Juan Vicente Larrosa, and the PSOE spokesman in the Municipal Council of Zeneta, Regina Sarria, have been harshly criticized Tuesday "the inaction of the government of Ballesta before the destruction of part of our heritage: the Arab castle And a protected area of Tabala ".

Larrosa recalled that the remains and the environment are considered to be of Cultural Interest and regretted that "the PP in the City Council is allowing the extraction of land in the area is carried forward part of our history."

Apparently there are authorizations from both the Ministry of Public Works and the Autonomous Community for extracting arid areas in the area with the intention of using that land on the Reguerón (MU-30).

"That there are permits to extract land does not imply that the extraction should involve the destruction of part of the municipality's heritage, devastating the area without control."

Larrosa has demanded that Ballesta and his team "take action in the matter".

"We noticed not long ago (as did neighbors and neighbors of both Zeneta and Los Ramos) that in a protected mountain area were making ground movements. Now we have to regret that they have damaged archeological remains, cataloged as Area of interest (Torre Bellando) and that, therefore, they should have protection assured ".

For her part, the PSOE spokeswoman in the Municipality of Zeneta, Regina Sarría, has insisted that "instead of repopulating the woodland of the area and prepare it to have a protected area in conditions, it is allowed to raze the archaeological remains without "Ballesta should give explanations, both as to why there are authorizations to remove land in the environment and why the destruction of some remains under protection has been allowed."

Councilor Larrosa recalled that in the area, the rambla of Tabala still needs adequate maintenance to contain and direct the water before possible torrential rains and thus prevent flooding.

"We have demanded and continue to demand that the rampach of Tabala be cleared and refined in order to carry the water and prevent flooding, but if we now remove land from the mountain we have another problem, we eliminate part of the barrier that prevents water from reaching more Force to the rambla. What is being done is, clearly, with or without authorization, a fudge. "
