The Molinos del Río will host from next Thursday until July 28 the photography exhibition 'Vera and Victoria', an intense work that the murcian Mar Sáez carried out between the years 2012 and 2016 to portray the intimate universe of these two young people .
The exhibition presents an intimate portrait of a love affair in which Mar Sáez immersed himself with his camera to make with images an intimate diary of a couple and give visibility to the LGTB collective.
According to the author, "Vera and Victoria is a project about love that seeks to eradicate prejudices around homosexuality and transsexuality. It is a portrait of the intimate universe of two young people who love each other, Vera, a transsexual woman And Victoria, in short, a visual diary, between 2012 and 2016, in which renewed nuances of the richness of their relationship arise.
The work of Mar Sáez has been recognized twice with the LUX Prize of Professional Photography (2014 and 2015), in the category of Documentary, with projects on transexuality and in 2015 obtained the Duo Prize Emerging Photographer, the Scholarship of the XV Seminar of Photography And Albarracín Journalism, was a finalist at the Photon Festival and selected at the V Meeting of New Artists.
In turn he has collaborated with the magazine Ojo de Pez and with different national media.
Since 2008 he has participated in different individual and collective exhibitions in Spain and the United States, in spaces such as the gallery Fernando Pradilla of Madrid, the gallery Alonso Vidal of Barcelona or The Gabarron Foundation Carriage House Center for the Arts of New York, among others.
