The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, today welcomed the students of the school Nuestra Señora de la Consolación de Espinardo, who have recorded the album 'Cometas de Esperanza', to collaborate with the NGO Delwende, an initiative promoted through the 'Crea Your music ', which combines culture and solidarity.

Coinciding with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the NGO Delwende, students, parents and teachers have released a CD with 13 songs of their own composition, the proceeds of which will go entirely to this NGO that carries out its solidarity action in African and Latin American countries, as well as Among the most disadvantaged populations in Spain.

The children played several songs on the album 'Comets of Hope' in the Plenary Hall.

Mayor José Ballesta stressed the "commitment, initiative and social sensitivity" of the students.

"You represent the best of ourselves," he said.

The Solidarity Project Delwende was born in 1997, on the initiative of the Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, and its work is spread over four continents.

Its development projects and social action focus on education, promoting the training of children and young people at risk with scholarships, as well as actions for the promotion of women.

Its objectives include promoting a culture of solidarity, promoting the training of children and young people, and promoting the dignity of people in all situations, by allocating their resources to development projects in the countries where the Sisters of Consolation work.
