The Mayor, José Ballesta, visited this morning both the Floridablanca Garden and the Artillery Barracks, whose access is closed to avoid risks and revise the trees again to confirm the safety of people.
Precisely the ficus of the garden have submitted this same week to the usual works of maintenance of these units, including the pruning, which involved the removal of 3,500 kilos of branches.
On Monday, Tuesday and last Wednesday, four specialized climbers climbed up to the tops of these trees, using a 32-meter basket for the side areas, removing all dry branches that could represent danger.
This technical work at height takes place every six months - although last year three were done - but there are daily staff in the garden to make visual revisions.
