Now Murcia requires Ballesta to request the cancellation of the concentration of "ours" and not its change of location (14/06/2017)

- The municipalist formation recalls the motion that was unanimously approved in the last plenary session to prevent the distribution of food only to Spanish citizens by this same group

- Alicia Morales states that "Murcia City Council has the duty to bet decisively for the good coexistence in our streets, showing a strong position before any activity that may incite discrimination, hatred or violence"

NOW MURCIA demands that the municipal government of the PP asks to the Delegation of the Government the annulment of the concentration of the neofascista group Lo Nuestro scheduled for next Saturday.

After the announcement of the Councilor for Traffic and Security, Lola Sánchez, that the City Council will request a change of location, coinciding with the manifestation of the LGTBi Pride, Alicia Morales reminds Ballesta of the motion that was unanimously approved in the past plenary session. Prevent the distribution of food only to Spanish citizens by the same group.

"It is not a question of the concentration changing its location, but should not occur," says the mayor, who points to the discriminatory, xenophobic and with possible incitement to hatred of the activities developed by this radical group.

Morales is convinced that "we can not allow institutions that this type of movement grow or be visible in our streets."

The spokesman of Now Murcia states that "Murcia City Council has the duty to bet decisively for the good coexistence in our streets, showing a strong stance against any activity that may incite discrimination, hatred or violence."

Now Murcia wrote to the Ballesta yesterday asking for information on whether the concentration has been communicated to the Government Delegation and requesting, where appropriate, a copy of the request for a report sent by the Government Delegation to the City Council.

The municipal group also demanded that the Consistory issue a negative report to that concentration, "in line with the agreement taken in the municipal plenary session."

"The City of Murcia has an obligation to ensure harmonious coexistence in our municipality, as well as prevent acts and demonstrations that put it in danger or promote anti-constitutional, undemocratic values that violate the rights of citizens," Morales concludes.
