The president of the National Conference of Directors of Doctorate Schools, Olga Martín Belloso, recalled in her speech that today there is a revolution of the Doctorate.

"The doctor has a lot to do in a company, he is no longer considered as a god, but as a professional who plays a leading role and can not lose his critical spirit."

Belloso believes that doctors need to have more visibility, to be trained not only as experts, but also to offer differentiating skills, such as languages, oral or written expression.

Something that the president of the UCAM, José Luis Mendoza ensures is developed in this University getting doctors with entrepreneurial leadership, innovative and courageous, taking as an example the program of industrial doctorates of UCAM, the first university in Spain to implant it.

Izpisua's masterful lesson

Dr. Izpisúa emphasized in his speech that he and his team of researchers have succeeded in getting cells from within an embryo to give way to different organs.

"The results we obtained give hope in the fight of rejection in transplants. We get human cells to grow inside the embryo of a pig and are being educated to become the organ that needs to be transplanted. Investigate, "said the professor.

Izpisúa also explained that "there are billions of letters in the cells, which causes that in the division of the same, mistakes are made. There are more than eight thousand monogenetic diseases. We investigate to correct those errors, we try to put the letter missing".

The researcher says that "unfortunately in our country, scientific culture is not something we have learned in our generation, so I trust in the new generations, so we can educate them and see how important it is to investigate and try to improve human health Therefore finding an institution like this and people like its president, who firmly believe in it, is an exception.

Celebration of the Eucharist

Prior to the academic event, the Eucharist presided over by Monsignor José Manuel Lorca Planes, Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, emphasized in his homily that man must free himself from material interests and be free.

"We should not continue banalities we must flee from what we believe are assurances and unite ourselves to Christ," said Lorca Planes, who also said that the Catholic University San Antonio de Murcia helps to continue in this project of formation and liberation.
