The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the director of Radio Murcia Cadena SER, Domingo Camacho, and the nurse responsible for the Department of Promotion of the Regional Hemodonation Center, Antonia María Gómez, today presented the II Blood Donation Marathon of Murcia, Which will take place this Wednesday, June 14, in the Plenary Hall of the City Hall.

Coinciding with World Blood Donor Day, this II Marathon will be held for a total of 10 hours: from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm and from 4.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
Those who want to donate blood, who are between 18 and 65 years old, weigh more than 50 kilos and are in good health are called to participate.
The objective of this initiative that will host the Plenary Hall for the second consecutive year is twofold: increasing donations in Murcia and raising awareness about the need to contribute to a solidarity and civic act that also increases health resources.
Under the motto 'No matter what you do, the important thing is that you need it', the campaign, sponsored by the mayor of Murcia, insists on the need to donate blood regularly, to maintain medical and surgical activity also in the summer and To do so in response to the demand of Murcia hospitals.
On Wednesday, June 14, Radio Murcia will perform a special program from the City of Murcia, where the II Blood Donation Marathon will be held.
The station will interview live the heads of the Regional Hemodonation Center, the entities that have collaborated in the implementation of this initiative, and donors and recipients, among others.
