The traditional popular race of Nonduermas turns twenty-five years and, to celebrate, its twenty-fifth edition receives the distinction of National Open.
Runners from all over the Region and from the rest of Spain will participate in this race that will take place in open circuit and that will score for the regional athletics championship.
The pedestrian mayor of Nonduermas, Carmen López (PSOE), explained that "this popular race is a hallmark of the hamlet, a very important day in which our town becomes the center of the sport, attracting runners and Tourists from all corners of the Region and also from the country. "
López has highlighted the work and enthusiasm of the Hermitage Club of Burgos, whose president, José Sandoval, has been the architect, with the support of the Municipal Board of Nonduermas, of this distinction of National Open that places the hamlet in the Center of athletics in September.
"The work of the Athletics Club and its members is commendable.There are twenty-eight families involved whose motto is 'This is not a club, it's a family' and they demonstrate this by encouraging the practice of sport and contributing to the promotion of sports activity In our hamlet.Through them Nonduermas is today a reference for the practice of athletics, "added the pedestrian mayor.
The Open National Nonduermas XXV Anniversary will be played in a circuit of 10,660 meters and can participate people of all ages from the age of sixteen, whether or not federated athletes.
The race will be under the 'Sports and Health' campaign, promoted by the Municipal Board, and will take place on September 17 at 09.30 hours.
"It is a recognition of a sporting trajectory and the organization of an event of great characteristics in Nonduermas, a recognition of the commitment to the sport that makes our village and in which Municipal Board, Athletics Club and neighbors are involved," Said Carmen Lopez.
Among the new features of this edition include "Healthy Fair of the Corridor" where many companies collaborate in them and associations related to the sport of the hamlet.
We will also have parachute exhibit from LA PAPEA, an act of homage to the Flag, Airborne Acrobatic Skydiving Patrol.
We have a healthy ride that will participate to enjoy the beautiful circuit where the race runs.
Highlight that we will have athletes competing in adapted wheelchairs.
