Tomorrow Wednesday opens the deadline for access to the help of the City Council so that families with scarce resources can rent a home.
With this objective, the Department of Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, directed by Rafael Gómez, has arranged a budget of 420,000 €.
In 2016 276 families benefited from this measure, whose low income level makes it impossible for them to access the property.
The establishment of this line of action has a double purpose.
On the one hand, and above all, to grant an economic aid for the temporary lease of a house to families with limited economic resources and in situations of special residential vulnerability;
But it is also a collaboration aimed at promoting the rental of housing as a habitual residence.
The deadline for requesting the aid is six months and the City Council reserves 10% of the budget for exceptional and exceptional cases.
To access the rent subsidy - granted for a maximum of € 2,609 per year - the following requirements must be met:
Annual income of the unit of coexistence between 0.5 and 2.5 of the IPREM.
Resident of interrupted and immediate form in the municipality of Murcia, at least two years before the date of the request (except victims of gender violence).
To believe that the annual rent of the rented dwelling exceeds 25% of the annual income of the coexistence unit.
On the other hand, families with a weighted income equal to or lower than 1 of the IPREM, single parent families, victims of gender violence, large families, families with a recognized member with recognized disability, with a degree equal to or greater than 65% Or dependency in Grade III, people affected by eviction, families included in projects of professional social support, both public and private entities and victims of terrorism.
This new call is the first to be made after the recent amendment of the Municipal Regulation Regulating Economic Benefits in Housing for Access in Lease Scheme by Family Units in a situation of Special Need.
The purpose of the changes introduced is to facilitate the procedures so that vulnerable groups and families can access a home.
The standard, which was approved in 2013 and since then has become an effective tool for the granting of this aid, has undergone some modifications that allow to improve four key aspects:
Simplification of administrative procedure
Unbinding of the application of municipal housing and the economic benefit for the lease in the free market to family units
Expansion of preferential groups so that the most vulnerable families can access the benefit
Distribution of the benefit, by limiting the amount of the monthly rent
Application forms will be available on the website www.murcia.es/ and can be removed and submitted once completed, accompanied by the documentation required for processing, in the General Registry of the City of Murcia and municipal offices of districts.
On the other hand, to this aid, the Ayuntamiento adds those managed by the Department of Social Rights, denominated 'Municipal Economic Aid for the Attention of Social Needs', of which during the year 737 were granted 737 with an amount of 585.312 euros.
In this case, they are used to finance basic food expenses, special diets, rent, repair or adaptation of usual housing, purchase of basic equipment, electric energy consumption, water, acquisition and repair of spectacles, orthopedics and prosthetics, complementary technical aids And others of urgent and serious necessity.
