Fomento will bury the four-point containers of the historical center (02/06/2017)

The Board of Governors has approved the specifications that will allow the first phase of the Container Burial Plan to be implemented.

This way, the four-point containers of the historic center will be buried.

Thus, in the street Madre de Dios will proceed to the burial of the current containers on the surface and also expanding its capacity with four containers for the collection of solid urban waste and a container.

In Plaza Cetina, the existing double container will be expanded with another of the same characteristics of two container points and two of urban solid waste.

Pinares street will carry out the burial of the current surface containers (5 of urban solid waste, one of containers and one of paper) as there is a large concentration of containers in this area.

Finally in the Plaza Santa Catalina will install a new double underground underground solid waste container, thus alleviating the need for capacity due to the large concentration of hotel business existing in the environment.

To this end, a maximum of 309,462 euros will be invested and the work will be carried out within 5 months and 2 weeks.

This action, in addition to improving the image of the public highway, eliminates the visual impact of traditional containers, reduces inconvenience with containers more comfortable to use and less noisy in their unloading, and offers more space for pedestrians.

The Department of Development, directed by Roque Ortiz, is going to carry out a comprehensive plan of burial of a hundred containers at strategic points of the urban centers of Murcia and districts thanks to which will hide a hundred containers.
