Family expands seven places in the day centers of elderly people of Beniaján and Barriomar in Murcia (01/06/2017)

The Councilor for Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, today visited together with the Councilor for Social Rights of the City of Murcia, Conchita Ruiz, day centers for seniors of Beniaján and Barriomar, where he reported that the Community allocated 1,840. 000 euros to the maintenance of 95 places in these two centers of Murcia and Alcantarilla.

The Government Council approved this week the addenda to the collaboration agreements signed between the Murciano Institute of Social Action and the City of Murcia, which will mean an increase of seven places, for an amount of 110,000 euros, in these two municipal centers.

One of the addenda specifies that another 63,000 euros will be allocated to the maintenance of four new squares in the day center of Beniaján, in addition to the 30 already financed;

As well as an additional endowment of 47,000 euros for the maintenance of three new places in the day center of Barriomar, in which there are already arranged 25 seats.

As for the municipality of Alcantarilla, the extension that was authorized by the regional Executive is three new squares, which will be financed with 47,000 euros, which add up to the 30 that already had.

These squares of Alcantarilla initially had a financing of 594,000 euros, the 30 of Beniaján had the same endowment, and 25 of Barriomar were financed with 495,000 euros.
