The Department of Development prepares 15 singular performances in the Plaza de Santa Eulalia to improve the perception of this historical space (31/05/2017)

Under the "Urban DNA" project, palm trees will be planted, containers will be buried, the church's facade will be illuminated and the road will be raised to the same level as the sidewalks, thus improving pedestrian traffic.

Likewise, it is planned to reorder the loading and unloading areas at different points, repainting the horizontal signage, renovating the vertical signage and relocating the parking spaces for motorcycles.

One of the most unique actions to be carried out by the Department of Development, directed by Roque Ortiz, within the project 'Urban DNA', will be based on the Plaza de Santa Eulalia, which represents the heart and the most emblematic space of the neighborhood , With the fundamental objective of improving the perception of this historical space.

The neighborhood of Santa Eulalia is the protagonist of the new model of intervention in neighborhoods 'Murcia ADN-Urbano', designed for the social and urban activation of the environment, with the participation of neighbors and merchants, since it is about building a "neighborhood Ideal ", always maintaining the essence and roots of the place.

The project will also be extended to other streets in the area.

Thus in the area of ​​the center of the elderly the performance of the Department of Development will contribute to its quality.

To this end, plans are being made to install street furniture and plantation of orange trees with hedges on the side of the center for the elderly, whose ground floor will be tattooed.

In addition, the project contemplates the placement of a large alcorque, a circuit of gerontogimnasia, horizontal tattoos and zebra crossing.

It is also planned to paint or vinyl electric counters, relocate containers, remove parking lots, asphalt agglomerate with decoration and improve the terrace.

The intervention will include other specific actions in adjacent streets, such as Mariano Vergara, San Antonio, Rocamora, Rambla, Raimundo de los Reyes and Cánovas del Castillo.

Parking spaces will also be relocated for loading and unloading.

Specifically, the elimination of reservation in Plaza Sardoy and transfer to Doctor Fleming;
