"We empower Norway because of the incredible working conditions it offers to nurses" (30/05/2017)

"We are continually drawing ideas always thinking about what has the greatest labor insertion for nurses," assured this afternoon the dean of the Faculty of Nursing of the Catholic University of Murcia, Paloma Echevarría, at the XVI Conference on Curricular Orientation and Employment Nursing, which has been attended by the Director General of Human Resources of the Health Service Murciano, Pablo Alarcón.

Echevarría stressed that "Norway is a destination that we have been promoting for three years because of the incredible working conditions that nurses offer, and in addition, there are many going there."

Regarding the situation of the toilets in the United Kingdom, the dean has commented that "there is scenic panic and some students are afraid of the possible consequences of Brexit."

But he took the opportunity to remember that the departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union has not yet materialized and the fears respond more "to perceptions".

In this regard, has clarified that "England has a very large need of nurses and can not do without thousands of them, because it would run out of health personnel."

Also, a former student of the UCAM, who now works as a nurse at the Royal Free Hospital of London, Laura Martinez, has come to the talk to tell her work experience abroad.

Martinez has spent four years working in residences and hospitals in Ireland and the United Kingdom, and has stated that "going abroad to work is a spectacular professional experience."

He added that "everything I have learned in the University, especially the practices in the Simulation Room, has helped me to apply it in my work life. Here you are prepared by putting you in emergency situations that you will find at work."

Finally, Echevarría recalled that the educational institution has a wide range of training for nurses, which has highlighted the Master's Degree in Emergency Nursing and Occupational Health.
