Guangzhou Sport University is a Chinese university with sixty years of history, more than 8,000 students and a career focused on the world of sports, both in its degree and its master's degrees.

A delegation from the Asian institution, led by Liu Yongdong, president of the University, has been at the UCAM today learning about the facilities of the Los Jerónimos Campus, the Center for High Performance Sports Research, the UCAM Sports Center and visiting the clubs Football and basketball to get a closer look at the overall project of the Catholic University of Murcia from all its approaches: competition, teaching and research.
Liu Yongdong was pleased and stressed that there was already a mutual interest in starting a joint path: "The UCAM is well known in the field of sport and therefore we had a special interest in collaborating with this University."
There are many projects on the horizon, but the first steps have already been taken with the signing of an agreement aimed at collaborating on football-related qualifications: "We want to establish a relationship in various aspects of sport. Points of view such as nutrition, sports performance, physiotherapy or management. "
Thus begins a path of collaboration between two universities that have sport as one of their hallmarks.
Guangzhou Sport University and the Catholic University of Murcia are two recognized institutions in Spain and China for their work in sports and with this agreement opens the door to more projects between both universities in both teaching and research.
