The pool Murcia Park opens its doors tomorrow opening the summer season (29/05/2017)

Murcia will be able to mitigate the heat in the 12 municipal swimming pools, located both in the city and in districts, whose price remains the same as in 2016, but including a special bonus for people in unemployment.

52 lifeguards will provide more than 14,000 hours of service to ensure the safety of bathers.

The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, presented this morning the new summer season of municipal pools of districts and districts, which this year incorporates as a novelty a special bonus for people in unemployment.

The first installation that will open its doors will be that of Murcia Park that will start its activity tomorrow and end on September 17.

The swimming pools of Aljucer, Alquerías, El Raal, Espinardo, La Ñora, Rincón de Seca, Sangonera la Verde, Sangonera la Seca and Corvera will open on a continuous basis on July 1, while El Palmar and Puente Tocinos will do so on the 11th Of that same month, closing their doors all of them the day 3 of September.

But for users to enjoy this service and public swimming pools, the Department of Sports and Health, has advanced the opening of its doors on weekends, so that of Aljucer and Alquerías will open on weekends of the 10 and 11 June, 17 and 18 and 24 and 25. Raal, Ñora and Rincón de Seca will do the same from the weekends of 17 and 18, and 24 and 25 June, while Sangonera la Seca and Sangonera La Verde will begin the weekend of June 24 and 25.

Users between the ages of 4 and 17 who come to these pools accompanied by unemployed parents will receive a 100% bonus.

Meanwhile, users over 18 years of age who prove themselves to be job seekers will receive a 50% bonus on the entry price.

Each pool will have two rescuers, except for Murcia Park, which will have five, which offers a total of 52 rescuers to cover all the times and days in which the facilities remain open.

In addition, they will receive an update course to provide a better service in first aid, RCO and handling of semi-automatic defibrillators, so that they can act more effectively in an emergency.

This means that there will be a rescue service in these facilities for more than 14,000 hours.

Also in the Corvera pool will be swimming courses, both for children and adults, which will allow 216 citizens -156 children under 4 to 14 years and 60 over 14 years- to learn how to swim and to unwind in the water .

Coello stated that "from the Department of Sports and Health we work to make available to citizens all the facilities for those users who are unemployed can enjoy the municipal swimming pools."
