The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for Social Rights, Conchita Ruiz, and the executive director of the GMP Foundation, Francisco Fernández, presented this morning to the president of the ASTEAMUR Foundation, Juana Martínez de Haro, from a Heel worth 49,600 euros raised thanks to the international festival of solidarity magic 'Great Illusions', organized by the GMP Foundation, whose funds will be used for the remodeling and adaptation of the premises provided by the City of Murcia, as a new center for early care for Girls and boys with autism.
In the eight years of existence of this Festival promoted by the GMP Foundation, 100% of the profits have been destined to improve the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, obtaining a total of 315,000 euros that have contributed to materialize projects driven by The Murcian entities Nuevo Horizonte, Assido, Feaps, Astrapace, Fundown, CEOM, Abamur and ASTEAMUR.
Specifically, the project this year, will allow to reform and provide equipment to a local association, given by the City of Murcia, to adapt it to the therapeutic and care needs of autistic children and their families.
The event took place in the 7RM television facilities, sponsor of the festival along with other collaborating entities that have made possible the celebration of this solidarity event.
