Councilman Carlos Peñafiel will also call for an improvement plan to cover tree grates with tree trellises that, while allowing tree irrigation and fertilization, facilitate transit, by providing more space to sidewalks

The mayor of Ciudadanos Carlos Peñafiel will defend a motion in plenary next Thursday demanding to the local government the implementation of an action plan that will establish and recover the minimum width in many sidewalks of neighborhoods and districts.

Within this action plan, Peñafiel will also request "a series of improvements to cover the cork trees, as is done in other cities, with floor grates for trees that, while allowing irrigation and manure, Facilitate the transit, giving more space to the sidewalks ".

Thus, Orange Councilor lamented that, "in the case of Murcia, the narrowness of sidewalks, together with the existence of trees and their corresponding alcorques, causes the neighbors some trouble in passing through some of our Streets, even causing falls;

And makes it difficult for people who go in wheelchairs or with baby carts, shopping or with suitcases with wheels. "

Therefore, Peñafiel will propose this initiative to implement measures to alleviate the lack of foresight of the PP Government to build sidewalks and to offer effective solutions to the problem of grains.
