The Department of Development, led by Roque Ortiz, and the concessionaire, Ferrovial Servicios, will carry out a new action that will further improve the cleanliness of the municipality.
The next Monday will begin a plan of civic circuits of microlights, with a great level of detail and intervening in reduced areas, that will be implemented in six zones delimited in the urban helmet of Murcia following criteria of homogeneity and operability:
Zone 1: Zona centro Catedral
Zone 2: Surrounding area of the Teatro Romea from Platería
Zone 3: San Lorenzo
Zone 4: University
Zone 5: Santa Eulalia
Zone 6: San Pedro
In order to select these areas, an exhaustive needs study has been carried out, analyzing in 66 specific streets the collection points for solid urban waste, paper and packaging, its capacity, the number of establishments producing by sector of activity (edible, sanitary, Restoration, shoemaking / clothing or housing), with the study showing certain indexes of overcapacity or deficit of collection points, according to volumetric production parameters.
Thus this study has detected deficits in different points of collection, mainly related to the activities of restoration and shoemaking and clothing.
In order to tackle the problems detected and to make a general review of the urban area of Murcia, civic circuits have been created that aim to rotate, in a permanent, periodic and successive way, in the 6 delimited zones, applying different measures
Thus, the collection is folded 3 days a week (J, V, S) at the points detected with capacity problems.
This measure is permanent.
Likewise, the system, already implemented in other areas of Murcia, will be implemented to deliver a specific container key to each producer establishment, according to the proposal derived from the study.
This measure favors the proper distribution of waste between the different points of collection, in addition to creating a system of self-responsibility, which for the City Council is crucial.
This measure is permanent.
In addition, micro-cleanings will be carried out in each of the zones with a duration of between 2 and 3 days, in detail, with the aim of tackling the problems detected as bags outside containers, cartons, unfinished terraces, graffiti, chewing gum, stickers , Advertising ... For this, they will use different media such as 4 pawns for chewing gum and stickers;
1 pawn and a hidrolimpiadora for corners and spots;
A pawn and a floorcleaner;
2 pawns and a hydrolimpiadora for grafitis;
And 1 foreman.
Another of the actions will be related to citizen involvement and awareness in road cleaning.
To this end, a micro-campaign of citizen warning will be carried out, which will be carried out door-to-door both for awareness and warning of possible sanctions that may be imposed.
In addition, the Civic Brigades will carry out their surveillance work, information in a special way for each zone, coinciding with the rest of the actions.
