Let's change Murcia denounces the celebration of an electronic music festival in El Valle at nesting season (18/05/2017)

Let's change Murcia today asked the Regional Government to move the celebration of the BRUNCH electronic music festival outside the regional park of El Valle Carrascoy, considering that "this type of concerts are incompatible with the preservation of a protected natural environment, which is aggravated To be carried out in the middle of the nesting season and to favor the mass influx of people without establishing limitations in the capacity ".

The municipal training has decided that the festival, which is scheduled to take place in El Valle Perdido and which will be attended by eight DJs, takes place in another space that has access and services suitable for this type of event, and where "the enjoyment of the Live music does not suppose an alteration of the principles of preservation of the protected space ".

Ginés Mirón, a member of the sectoral group Huerta and Modelo de Ciudad de Cambiemos Murcia, recalled that this would not be the first time that the venue of a concert is modified, since the day before the last Romería moved a Event that was going to be held in the same place due to environmental bias.

For Mirón, regardless of the temporary administrative concessions of the kiosks and other places of restoration located in the park, it is a priority that the preservation of the environmental values "above commercials that these facilities can have prevailed".

On the other hand, Cambiemos Murcia has regretted that the regional park continues after more than 20 years of the initial approval of its Natural Resources Management Plan (PORN) without a definitive document to regulate the uses.

Likewise, it has criticized that the park continue in the waiting list for the elaboration of the management plan of the Natura 2000 Network, while remembering that the formation presented / displayed a motion in the City council of Murcia to ask the Autonomous Community The urgent approval of protection figures.
