PSOE, Citizens, Change Murcia, Now Murcia and Luis Bermejo urge Maruja Pelegrín to submit as soon as possible a proposal of relocation for the vendors of San Esteban (15/05/2017)

The political groups PSOE, Citizens, Cambiemos Murcia, Now Murcia, as well as the non-attached councilman, Luis Bermejo, held a meeting Monday with representatives of the Association of Sellers of San Esteban, whose situation is very poor since, in 2009 , Were transferred to the Malecon with the promise of a relocation that has not arrived.

The situation is so delicate for these sellers that in these years the positions have been reduced from fifty to less than twenty.

For the past two years, the Commission for the relocation of these independent traders has been meeting without any firm proposal that gives solution to the group and allows them to move to a better location, outside the BIC of the Malecón and in An area more suitable to carry out its activity.

"Salespeople in San Esteban have been waiting for a solution for eight years, as they struggle to keep paying their taxes and to take care of the cost of the booths. The least that the Ballesta government can do is not allow time to go by Obviating the problem of these sellers and look for a solution already ", they have indicated.

PSOE, Citizens, We change Murcia, Now Murcia, and the non-attached councilman, Luis Bermejo, denounce the lack of interest of the PP government and, especially, the Councilor of Commerce, Maruja Pelegrín, in finding a new place In which to mount the booths of the vendors, and demand that the councilor "do not dilate more in time the solution and put on the table a serious proposal of relocation."

In view of the fact that the Commission for the relocation (which has been working for two years) does not seem to advance despite the demands of the opposition, PSOE, Citizens, Cambiemos Murcia, Now Murcia and the unassigned councilor, Luis Bermejo, have urged Councilwoman Maruja Pelegrín to meet with the vendors and representatives of the different political groups next Wednesday with a proposal for a firm relocation on the table, which allows to close the conflict at once and end the difficult situation that traders live since 2009.
