Google will teach practical tools for journalists and communicators at UCAM (10/05/2017)

The workshop will be held on Thursday, May 11, and will be given by Millán Berzosa, representative of Google News Lab for Spain and Portugal

This seminar is free and is organized by the Department of Communication Sciences of the UCAM and the Journalists Association of the Region of Murcia.

Learning to use the resources that Google offers to create better journalistic stories and to show diverse resources of great utility for the journalists will be the main objectives of the "Google Keys for Journalism" workshop that will be given by Millán Berzosa, responsible in Spain and Portugal of Google News Lab , Tomorrow Thursday at the UCAM from ten in the morning.

This workshop is free until full capacity and is organized jointly between the Department of Communication Sciences of UCAM and the Journalists Association of the Region of Murcia.

The conference is aimed at students of journalism, graduates and journalists who want to train for free in a journalistic skills workshop with Google.

The methodology of the workshop is based on a basic level to achieve an advanced level.

Profile of the speaker

Millán Berzosa is professor of digital journalism at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria.

Since 2015 he is responsible for the Google News Lab in Spain and Portugal.

Creator and coordinator of the cycle "Youtubers, people and video tapes" of the Espacio Fundación Telefónica in Madrid.

Recently (May 2017) has published the book "Youtubers and other species" (Ariel editorial).

Connected to Internet projects since 1998, he is a contributor to the World Summit of Journalists and Publishers.

The San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia and the Official College of Journalists of the Region currently have an agreement on training activities.
