The PSOE urges that the works of improvement and conditioning of the IES Miguel Espinosa de Murcia be carried out. (09/05/2017)

The deputy of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Choni Ludeña has defended in the Education Committee of the Regional Assembly the need to carry out an urgent evaluation of the educational facilities of the IES Miguel Espinosa de Murcia, with the aim of planning, planning and execution with imminent and Urgent the necessary works of conditioning of the said center.

This motion has been unanimously approved by all parliamentary groups.

IES Miguel Espinosa is a publicly owned educational center, located in the city of Murcia.

Ludeña said that during the last years educational facilities have been deteriorating, due to the lack of conservation of the same and reform works by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.

This situation has led the educational community to claim the most urgent and priority actions, not getting a response from the regional administration.

"The Association of Mothers and Fathers has repeatedly denounced that the center has a high risk of collapse and fire, so they request an urgent evaluation of the infrastructure and an imminent repair of it."

The socialist deputy denounced that the state of deterioration of the institute "is clearly noticeable and in some respects alarming and dangerous, which is putting at risk the people who study and work there."

Ludeña indicated that not only in this center, there are many needs in the public centers of the Region.

Therefore, it is necessary that the Ministry invests in all those who are in poor condition.

Investment in infrastructure by the regional government has been decreasing.

He reproached that the Ministry during 2016 only executed 5 million euros of the 25 that had budgeted.
