The rector of the University of Murcia (UMU), José Orihuela, was one of the guests at the luncheon offered by the Kings of Spain on the occasion of the official visit of Costa Rican President Luis Guillermo Solís.
To this event, which was held yesterday in the Royal Palace of Madrid, the rector of the UMU attended as a representative of Spanish civil society.
The University of Murcia maintains close ties with the institutions of Higher Education of the Republic of Costa Rica, a relationship that was formalized in 2003 with the signing of a first collaboration agreement.
In these years the UMU has made more agreements with Costa Rican universities, as well as different inter-university cooperation and development projects, as well as the exchange of students through the ILA mobility program.
