The Department of Education will invest 164,738 euros for the call for school camps that can enjoy 500 children.

The offer this year includes 100 places more than in the last call and the cost for each school is between 271 and 355 euros.

The Governing Board gave its approval at its last meeting to a € 164,738 item intended for the call for administrative documents for the recruitment of leisure and leisure services for the month of July in the municipality of Murcia.

Thus, the Government team through the Department of Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage offers 500 places for summer camps for schoolchildren in schools in the capital.

This investment allows to call 100 more places than in 2016, as a result of the commitment to carry out activities that foster coexistence among students, equal opportunities, the development of democratic values ​​and healthy living habits, far from being sedentary.

Variety of activities and destinations

The Department of Education, directed by Rafael Gómez, has prepared a complete program of activities and destinations that can enjoy students in the second and third cycle of primary:

Deporte activo y medio ambiente en Nerpio.

Destinado para escolares de entre 10 y 12 años para que tengan un contacto más profundo con la naturaleza y poder realizar actividades de multiaventura, carreras de orientación, talleres de reciclaje o de astronomía.

Sea and sport in the Mar Menor.

Camp for children from 8 to 10 years old located in the Center of High Performance of Los Alcázares, offers the opportunity to know a unique environment such as the Mar Menor and sports activities, life-saving workshops, excursions or walks through the fair.

Aventura y misterio en Sierra Espuña.

El aula de Naturaleza “Las Alqueríasâ€�, situada en el parque natural, está formado por cabañas de madera en las que se alojarán los menores de 0-10 años durante seis noches.

Aprenderán a orientarse en la naturaleza ya realizar actividades como tirolina, escalada, gymkhanas de agua o ferias en el campamento.

English and adventure in "The Cenajo".

It is a complete tourist near the dam of the Cenajo with capacity for 60 people suitable for hiking routes, workshops with natural elements, water activities in the river or visits to Caravaca de la Cruz.

All this accompanied by monitors in English, which will help the students to improve a second language.

Registration since May 2

Entries can be made until next Thursday through the web murciaeducadora.net and in case the number of applicants exceeds the number of places called a public raffle will be held on May 19.

Prices range from € 218 to € 253 and include transportation from Murcia (round trip), full board accommodation, activities and workshops, excursions and monitors that take care of the students throughout the week.
