The Plaza de Europa hosts the first market with the most emblematic products in the area (05/05/2017)

The Department of Trade, Organization and Institutional Relations this morning presented the activities that on the occasion of the European Day will be held next Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm in the Plaza de Europa.

Maruja Pelegrín, has stated that "from the Town Hall you want to continue promoting local commerce and this time, hand in hand with music, we will present a novel offer to bring the most typical but also innovative products linked to Barrio Of Santa Eulalia ".

'Europa Plaza' is an innovative event that seeks to unite the culture and traditions of Murcia with the old continent, offering a family leisure offer in the center of Murcia.

That is why on Sunday May 7 the Plaza de Europa will become a meeting point for the population, where you can enjoy traditional, commercial and cultural traditions.

All this in the Barrio de Santa Eulalia, integrated within the urban DNA project for the rehabilitation and dynamization of this historical point.

The space will have twelve booths for the diffusion and information of the different businesses of the environment, where they will present their proposals to the visitors.

Thus, illustrations will be offered in pens, music, products for newborns, silk products or ecological soaps, as well as bags made with recycled paper or ethnic fashion.

The Artisan Association CREA, of Santa Eulalia, will also be present with a sample of artisan ceramic products.

To make known to all Murcia this new initiative will install a blue carpet that will lead pedestrians from Calle Trapería to Plaza de Europa, on a journey adorned with pots and trees.

Awnings will also be installed to make the area a pleasant space for both exhibitors and visitors.

The market will have the presence of hostesses and stewardesses who will inform, by bicycle, the neighboring neighborhoods of the event.

Children activities

Within the program there is a section dedicated to the youngest, who can enjoy creative ecoideas workshops, pintacaras activities and a small area with monitors.

Musical atmosphere

In addition, the morning will feature a musical area where the Muses de Guadalupe Symphonic Band, which belongs to the Royal Band Federation of the Region of Murcia and will perform the Anthem of Joy, the Hymn to Murcia and a complete list of Soundtracks with more than 50 musicians.
