899 people found work in Murcia in April (04/05/2017)

899 people found a job in the municipality in March, according to data released today by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.

The number of unemployed registered in the offices of the National Employment Institute (Inem) in Murcia at the end of April stood at 33,113, representing a fall of 2.6% compared to March, with 34,012 people out of work.

This reduction is even more significant if taken as a reference last year.

Then, the unemployment figure in April 2016 stood at 36,584, so that in one year has fallen by 3,471 people, that is, 9.48%.

With regard to children under 25, the unemployment rate in the municipality is 9.04%, compared to 9.35% in the region as a whole.

At present, 2,995 young people in the municipality are job seekers.

Compared to last September, the figure also shows a positive balance, with a decrease of 157 people.

By 2015, however, the trend was reversed.

The difference between the months of September and October last year registered 215 people who lost their jobs.
