Rebeca Pérez participates in the International Biennial of Young Creators of Europe and the Mediterranean that is celebrated in Albania (04/05/2017)

Rebeca Pérez, Youth Councilor of the City of Murcia is in Albania to participate today in the eighteenth edition of the International Young Creators of Europe and Mediterranean.

A multidisciplinary event that will bring together about 230 artists from the coastal countries and seeks to offer them opportunities for mobility, exchange, intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding or collaboration between associations.

On this occasion, "home" is the center on which all the activities, activities or workshops that will be celebrated until the next day will be rotated. The home based on four elements, history, conflict, dreams and The failures.

The BJCEM thus maintains its commitment to the role that art and culture can play in society, and defends the discovery and diffusion of the values ​​of different cultures while enriching their own.

All this through art, a tool that overcomes borders and conflicts and does not require the need to speak the same language, it is a universal code.

A meeting that allows young artists, in their different disciplines (architecture, video, comics, fashion, plastic or performing arts, dance, music, gastronomy or literature) to share experiences with the rest of international assistants and professionals as well as enrich their Cultural heritage and increase the impact of their works.

Murcia Representation

The city of Murcia is one of the most active participants of this edition of the Biennial given its current status in which it holds the Presidency of the Spanish National Committee.

On this occasion 5 artists from the municipality of Murcia, out of the total of 24 arrived from our country.

The selection of artists was made through the calls that the council offers through contests such as CreaMurcia.

On this occasion 5 artists accompany Rebeca Pérez and Juan Albaladejo, Head of Cultural and Educational Dynamization Program, at the Biennial, where they will be able to show their works in different places of both Tirana and Durrës.

First, Carmen Férez Guillén presents her documentary "Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya" which shows the reality of a school located in one of the poorest areas of India, where through its artistic and academic disciplines an alternative and more effective education is offered To develop the potential of children.

Along with her have also traveled the members of AyeKlauwn Cía and Atomic Theater with its work "The wisdom of the birds".

It is a visual spectacle that talks about old age, loneliness and the passage of time, through three characters of advanced age who without speaking say it all.
