Now Murcia demands that the town hall fulfill the agreement to support the demonstration of 13 of May by the burial of the AVE (03/05/2017)

NOW MURCIA has written today to the Mayor, José Ballesta, to demand that the City Council complies with the motion approved in plenary last Thursday and to support the demonstration called on 13 May to demand the underground arrival of the AVE to Murcia.

The mayor and spokesman of Now Murcia, Alicia Morales, recalls that "despite the fact that the PP voted against the motion, it was approved with the votes of all the opposition, which is why it is bound to comply."

The councilor points out that the motion establishes the agreement that "the City of Murcia give its institutional support to the demonstration convened by the Platform for Proliferation on May 13 and invite all citizens to massively and peacefully join and Participate ".

Morales affirms that "it is time for the PP to take the side of all Murcia to defend the arrival of the AVE buried in Murcia, instead of allowing an arrival on the surface that is likely to end this way definitively, which is A serious risk that the City of Murcia should not allow.From the Consistory we have the political and moral obligation to ensure for the municipality a high speed train that does not divide Murcia in two, which would cause numerous and serious problems to the neighbors and everything the town".
