The Noise Sector Council, chaired by the councilor for Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro Corchón, analyzes the progress made in the realization of the Noise Map of Leisure |

Councilor for Urbanism, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro Corchón, presided over the ordinary meeting of the Sectorial Council of Noise of the municipality of Murcia to analyze the progress in the work developed for the completion of the Map of Noise of Leisure, which will allow adopting the More effective measures to achieve an improvement in the acoustic environment of Murcia and to reconcile the activity of the consolidated leisure areas in the city with the right to rest of all the neighbors.

In the same, a document of 'Good Practices against Noise in the Municipality of Murcia' has been presented, in which the concrete problems of noise that affect both road cleaning, spectacles on public roads, terraces , etc.

For the realization of different proposals to solve these problems, it has been agreed the creation of working groups formed by technicians of the City of Murcia, of the Department of Security, Urban Quality and Development and to realize a document that can be debated later in the advice.

The councilor of Urbanism has expressed the importance of knowing in depth the problems to be able to adopt the most appropriate measures in the matter of noise, "since it is a complex subject and we want that the measures that are taken in the matter of noise in Murcia are endorsed by The maximum consensus and social support, putting at the center of the decision making the associations more directly involved and always seeking the defense of the general interest of Murcia, through dialogue and agreement.

In addition, Navarro has reported on files filed in the area of ​​noise by the City Council during 2016, coming from different sources such as motorcycles, activities, animals, neighborhood noise, etc., the latter being the most numerous.

Finally, Navarro has informed the Council, on the actions to be carried out this year, which basically consist of the completion and adoption of measures of the Noise Map of Leisure, the elaboration of the Strategic Map of Noise and acoustic zoning.

In addition to the political groups, representatives of the Association No More Noise Murcia, Ecologists in Action, Entrepreneurs for the Quality of Leisure (ECO), Federation of Neighborhood Associations of the Municipality of Murcia, Hostemur and Croem, Asbamur , Official College of Biologists of the Region, Official College of Surveyors, Technical Architects and Engineers, College of Architects, College of Farm Administrators, College of Telecommunications Engineers and College of Industrial Technical Engineers.
