The University of Murcia (UMU) will host tomorrow, Wednesday, March 1, the regional phase of the Spanish Physics Olympiad, in which high school students will test their knowledge of this discipline.
The test, which will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Espinar Center campus, will consist of solving Physics problems contextualized in real life situations, such as the study of the movement of satellites And planets, sound properties or the operation of electric motors.
The winners will compete, along with the other students selected in the local phases of the rest of the country, in the XXVIII Spanish Physics Olympiad, which this year is celebrated from March 31 to April 3 in Gerona.
The University of Murcia collaborates in this initiative that organizes in the Region the Local Committee of the Royal Spanish Society of Physics, with funding from the Seneca Foundation-Regional Agency of Science and Technology.
