Treasury summons the suppliers of the City to a formative session so that they adapt to the electronic contracting (27/02/2017)

Adapting to e-administration will allow each tenderer to carry out the procedures and obtain all the necessary information in his computer, with an evident saving of time and displacements.

Martínez-Oliva explains that "we want to extend to the smaller contracts the guarantees of transparency and concurrence that exist for the large adjudications."

The session will take place next Thursday, at 12 o'clock, in the Hall of Acts of the Building Annex to the Town Hall.

The City Council continues to incorporate new measures to boost bidding and ensure freedom of access to tenders, advertising and transparency in smaller contracts.

In this sense, various agreements have been adopted (the last one in October 2016) in order to ensure greater participation in these procedures.

The minor contracts are those of less than 50,000 euros, excluding VAT, on works, and 18,000 euros, excluding VAT, on services and supplies.

Last year, the City Council made 70 awards of this type, amounting to 1.3 million euros, to which are added the files processed by the City Council from the Department of Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, minors of € 9,000 and over € 3,000, which involved another 10 contracts totaling € 63,000.

At the moment, these contracts are awarded to the most economical offer of those presented after the corresponding advertisement published on the Employer Profile of the municipal website (www.murcia.es).

Currently, the City Council is carrying out the implementation of electronic procurement, which in the near future will be applied to the processing of minor contracts, so that each tenderer can carry out the procedures and obtain all the necessary information from his PC, with The saving of time and displacements that this supposes.

With this system, travel to the City Hall to submit bids ends and phone calls are completed to follow up on the different municipal services.

The Councilor for Finance and Contracts, Eduardo Martínez-Oliva, explains that in this way 'we intend to make the advertising, transparency and concurrence of public procurement compatible with the agility and simplicity of the smaller contracts', so as to maximize the Possibilities of companies to work with the City without causing delays in administrative procedures.

Thus, 'we continue to take steps to offer the Murcia an easier, faster and cheaper service, while increasing the transparency and information of its management.

90-minute session

Logically, for the system to work and be effective, it is necessary to have the collaboration of the bidders, who must submit their bids through this platform.

To this end, an informative session will be given to potential suppliers, to be held next Thursday at 12 o'clock in the Hall of Acts of the Building Annex to the City Council, and will last approximately 90 minutes.
