A group of Nazarenes asks for support to the City of Murcia for a step carried exclusively by women (27/02/2017)

The Holy Week of Murcia will process for the first time in 2018 a step of the confraternity of the Holy Christ of Health carried exclusively by women.

Social Rights has called on the women of Murcia to be part of this step called 'Mary, consolation of the afflicted'

The Council of Social Rights, led by Conchita Ruiz Caballero, met this morning with representatives of the Brotherhood of the Christ of Health, which processes Martes Santo, to appeal to the women of Murcia to be part of this step, being The first of the Holy Week of Murcia that will carry exclusively women.

This proposal is born of a group of Nazarenes who, faced with the unique male presence as Nazarene shelves in our Holy Week, found the need to launch this proposal, as it exists in other Holy Week in our environment, such as Lorca, declared National tourist interest, as the Murcia.

In this way, the holder of Social Rights, has encouraged all women in the municipality and the districts to participate in this project, demonstrating "equality of conditions and participation in this celebration 'Santa.

Ruiz Caballero has stated that it is important to "raise awareness and awareness of the importance of developing any type of action and action in favor of the defense of equal opportunities between men and women, both in Holy Week Murcia and in many other areas of our society".

This initiative comes from the president of Health, José Isidro Salas and the cape of Andas, Ana Belén Lozano, who is looking for interested women to join this project.
