The IV International Congress 'Sports Injury Prevention' will focus on the sport base (20/02/2017)

The Campus of Los Jeronimos of the UCAM will host on March 2 and 3 the IV International Congress of 'Prevention of Sports Injuries', organized by the Chair of Sports Traumatology, the Center for Research in High Performance Sports UCAM and the Murcian Association of Sports Medicine.

This congress is aimed at professionals, scientists and students who are interested in the prevention of injuries in the growing sportsman, without leaving aside the coaches and parents of young athletes.

Experts from the field will be involved in a multidisciplinary approach in seven round tables on: predisposing and triggering risk factors, epidemiology in different sports, as well as protocols for action from the medical point of view of training and rehabilitation Sports, physiotherapy, nursing, and sports nutrition.

In addition, six practical workshops aimed at sports prevention or rehabilitation will be developed.

The scientific committee will award the three best communications that meet the necessary requirements of presentation and scientific news, prizes that will be delivered at the closing ceremony.

José Luis Martínez Romero, co-director of the Chair of Sports Traumatology at the Catholic University, explains that "this year we are celebrating the 25th National Conference on Sports Traumatology.
