The hamlet of Santiago and Zaraíche opens Language Club for young people between 17 and 30 years (17/02/2017)

In Torreagüera, Santa Cruz, Santo Ángel, Javalí Nuevo and Santiago and Zaraiche began classes last week and also count for the first time with this proposal.

Young people between 17 and 30 years of the hamlet of Santiago and Zaraíche learn English and French in the recently launched Language Club launched by the Department of Youth and Development Cooperation, headed by Rebeca Pérez.

This hamlet joins Torreagüera, Santa Cruz, Santo Ángel, and Javalí Nuevo, which began classes last week and also count for the first time with this proposal.

Thus, the City of Murcia offers 100 places (20 for each hamlet), plus 20 places in the hamlet of Corvera, forming in this way, 6 groups with a monitor in each of them to impart the practice of these languages

With this initiative, the Department aims to respond to the demand of young people to increase their levels of understanding and conversation in other languages.

This proposed extension "is proposed to provide stability and continuity to senior groups, since, until now, leisure classes and leisure activities to practice languages, were taught by volunteers and from now on will be monitors who Develop this work, "said Rebeca Pérez, who this morning visited the Language Club of the hamlet of Santiago and Zaraíche.

Rebeca Pérez has emphasized that this free activity "makes it possible for the young people of the municipality to develop the ability to speak in other languages, complement the language skills they acquire in their schools and at the same time, interested in programs Of European exchange that the City of Murcia develops with financing of the European Union ".

Thus, the head of Youth has said that, from the Government Team, "we believe it necessary to launch a Language Club that addresses the population of districts and meet their demands in language practice, on an equal basis with the Citizens of the center of Murcia ".

In addition to these 6 pedanias, the Language Club is already present in El Palmar, Espinardo, Beniaján, La Alberca, El Esparragal and Alquerías.
