The organization of the Tunas Costa Cálida International Competition this year has chosen journalist Marta García, 7TV, as the godmother of this year's edition.
With this appointment, the Contest wants to highlight and thank the gesture of the presenter and editor of the noon news on autonomic television, who returned to work showing on the screen the effects of treatment with chemotherapy after fighting breast cancer.
With the election of Marta Garcia as a sponsor, the Contest wants to support the normalization of this disease and its side effects.
The journalist will be officially named godmother of this new edition on April 17 at the Teatro Romea during the course of the inauguration of the Contest, where the crier and the Grand Master will still take office and are yet to be announced.
Marta García joins other 7TV journalists who have already been sponsors of the Contest, such as Maria Pina and Eva Abril.
This new edition of the International Tuna Costa Cálida Contest, celebrating 30 years, will be held from April 17 to 21.
After the inauguration in the Romea, the Contest will be moved to its official headquarters, the Pergola of San Basilio.
