The Councilor for Education, Relations with Universities and Heritage, Rafael Gómez, visited this morning three educational centers to deliver the reproduction of the mural that was held on the occasion of the celebration of the fourth centenary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes and the Day World Book of 2016 in which more than 250 students participated.
Specifically, the educational centers that have participated in this initiative led by the Polish artist Katarzyna Rogowicz, have been IES Floridablanca, El Carmen and CEIP Los Álamos.
This activity is framed within the project 'Words Painted by Cervantes', organized by the Municipal Library Network of Murcia (RMBM).
The final result of the project, a mural formed by eight panels in which different characters appear from 'El Quijote', was completed and was exhibited last April in the Artillery Barracks.
Currently it is in the Library of Espinardo.
In addition, the Network programmed more than 100 activities around the Book Day and the 4th Anniversary of the death of Miguel de Cervantes, including reading clubs, school visits, illustration workshops, chess workshops and games workshops Of table.
