The Municipal Board of Sangonera la Verde has executed 100% of its budget to improve the quality of life of the residents of the hamlet with a total of 325,953 euros in the year 2016. Juan Jiménez, mayor pedáneo of the Popular Group, has Informed about the arrangements and repairs in schools, sports facilities, streets and sidewalks and support to the different associations of the hamlet.
With this budget the Municipal Board has carried out numerous actions in the public schools of the hamlet.
In the Nicholas de la Raya school a pergola has been installed in the children's center zone and the perimeter fence has been expanded.
In addition a new window and eight air conditioners have been placed in this center.
Also the Municipal Board incorporated a ramp of access to the courts of the center sports center.
In the school Antonio Delgado Dorrego have been waterproofed classrooms and the dining room, in addition to repairing the concrete hearth found in the children's playground and the addition of new toilets.
On the other hand, in the concerted school of Santa Cruz a new fence was installed and a sidewalk that allows access to this one.
Sports and Orchard
In the framework of these actions, the ground football field has been rebuilt by clearing it and repairing it with zahorra and a fence has been installed on the sports court of El Palmeral.
In addition, it has completely rehabilitated the section that gives access to the football field with agglomerate, installing a ramp that allows vehicles to enter the stadium.
The Municipal Board has also invested its budget in the arrangement of orchard areas with the installation of artificial sawn on dirt roads such as Parrales street, Virgen de la Sierra street, Verónicas street, Muñoz street, Calle Canalón and Yesera street .
Likewise, more than 350 meters of sidewalks were reformed in different parts of the hamlet and repairs have been made with agglomerates in streets, which means a total of 200 meters of pavement arranged.
Also cobblestones of the street Greco and the street Cristóbal Columbus have been repaired.
Jiménez informs that in addition to these actions "we have installed, at the request of the neighbors, pylons or bollards in Iglesia Street, Hernán Cortés Street, Herrería, Miguel Hernández, Oregano and Rafael Alberti Street, among others.We have also built a ramp in the street Greater access to people with reduced mobility ".
Supporting associations
Thanks to the management of this budget, the Municipal Board has managed to help and give visibility to many associations of Sangonera la Verde.
This is the case of the newly created band of the cofradias of the hamlet and of the two football associations that carry out their activities in it.
Likewise last year, forged flower pots with Easter flowers were given to the traders in the hamlet to decorate the entrance of their businesses, a way of encouraging local commerce by supporting the ACOMSA merchants' association.
Jiménez states that "we want to preserve the cultural heritage of Sangonera la Verde, so we collaborate in the most important festivals such as Our Lady of the Angels, the Chapel of the Holy Cross and the festivals of the urbanization of Torre Guil. The new association of the carnival and the huertana rock El Cuartillo ".
From the Municipal Board are backed the Christmas parties organized by the association of neighbors and the cliffs of fiestas of the hamlet.
