Preciosa de Murcia, "La gitanilla" by Cervantes, stars in an exhibition at the UMU (14/02/2017)

It will be in the space ES / UM, La Merced Campus, at 20 hours.

The exhibition can be visited until March 3.

Preciosa is the name given to Constanza, the protagonist of Miguel de Cervantes' novel "La gitanilla".

Preciosa, a young woman from Murcia, had been kidnapped in 1595 by a group of gypsy minstrels who were captivated by her beauty.

The initiative is organized by the Cervantes Commission 400. Region of Murcia and the Visual and Plastic Arts Classroom of the University of Murcia.
