The Department of Development finishes in a month the works of the street Galilea in Algezares and fulfills its commitment with the neighbors of the zone (11/02/2017)

The works, which have ended in a short period of time, have been very difficult due to the narrowness of the street where several demolitions have been carried out.

After the floods of last December and the heavy rains on the Galilea street in the hamlet of Algezares, the Council of Fomento, directed by Roque Ortiz, has completed work to restore the collapsed wall and remove the debris that had fallen in The houses.

The works, which began on December 29 and have already ended, involved great difficulty due to the bad accesses, narrowness in the street and slope, where the wall had to be executed, carrying out several demolitions and excavations just above the houses.

Concrete has been the removal of debris from the houses and a simple fence has been placed on the wall and a wooden parapet to prevent further falls of walls, shoes and slabs.

The Councilor for Development, added, "from the outset the firefighters, the technical services of the Department and members of Civil Protection, moved to the hamlet of Algezares to provide assistance and solve, as far as possible, Damage caused ".

In addition, Ortiz pointed out that "the Municipal Government Team is fulfilling all the commitments in each of the areas, and in this case, taking care of affected neighbors of the area."

Good planning

The City Council demonstrates once again its good planning and efficiency, and that among its priorities, noted the popular councilman, "is the investment in water infrastructure in districts to avoid the effects of heavy rains and give preference to the works of the New systems of canalization and extension of the sanitation network ".

In addition, the head of Fomento recalled, "is already in progress the Plan of Actions that contemplates a total of 12 interventions in Algezares, Zarandona, Churra, El Puntal, El Raal, Santa Cruz, Sangonera la Verde, Costera Norte, Miguel Induráin , Avenida Juan Carlos I and Murcia center.

Works include improvement and interconnection of collectors, installation of grids, improvement of the pumping system in rainfall episodes, adaptation of the drainage of interceptors, replacement of scuppers, execution of spillways, and improvement of urban drainage.
