Let's change Murcia has produced about 50 amendments to the draft PP municipal budgets for 2017 in order to change them "drastically" because the current one is "continuist" and is based on a "failed model of large investments away from Needs of the citizens ".
Sergio Ramos, councilor of municipal training, explained that the goal of Cambiemos Murcia is "to enforce the motions approved in the Plenary" and to activate the City Council to focus on "the large pending tasks that have dragged the municipality for years" .
Ramos has pointed out that the amendments, designed by the sectoral group of Economy of its organization, contemplate the inclusion of a heading to reform the General Plan of Urban Planning and the Regulation of Citizen Participation so that both are agile and have instruments of Participation "in keeping with its political importance".
One of the main changes that incorporate the proposals of Cambiemos Murcia is to increase the budget allocated to municipal councils to 8 percent, in compliance with the Regulation, and to increase their competences within a new management model.
"We can not fall into the mistake of allocating all investment in districts to the construction of public buildings, it is necessary above all to create tools of participation and provide activities to the existing premises," argued Ramos.
As an alternative to "this model of investment in the brick" has raised an amendment to open a line of 100,000 euros for the establishment of a service with technicians in citizen participation to advise the boards, among other actions.
For Cambiemos, the elimination of "superfluous expenses" is also necessary, and that is why it will ask for the elimination of the items "without clear objective" and "the big PP proposals that impoverish the municipality", as is the case of the dedicated Terra Natura or Murcia River Plan, which will be carried out this year around three million each according to the proposal of the PP.
Likewise, the mayor stressed that one of the priorities for his training is the generation of employment and, therefore, has proposed amendments that expand and give value to the Center for Municipal Initiatives (CIM) and the Center for Training for Employment La Fica, while denouncing the "irresponsibility" of the Government team in health matters by not including a budget for the development of the Sexual Health Plan.
"In short, we want to radically transform the orientation of budgets once they are definitive, modifying around 30 million euros of direct allocation," said Ramos, for whom "it is not a question of making up the PP accounts but of presenting An alternative municipality proposal ".

Ramos has asked that "no municipal group be erected as a spokesperson for municipal councils" and has asked to be convened plenary in the neighborhoods and asked to discuss their priorities in order to include them in budgets.
Like the public institutions closest to citizens, "it is not understood that their needs are not heard," he concluded.
