The Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) has implemented the first node of exchange of academic data in the university environment and other public administrations.
This pioneering project, called the NISUE Interoperability Node, has been led by the University of Murcia (UMU), which has coordinated the other three participating universities: Castilla-La Mancha, Polytechnic of Cartagena and Polytechnic of Valencia .
The Node will facilitate the exchange of academic data between universities, as well as between these and other public bodies, which makes Spanish universities, for the first time, a data transferor.
As a first set of data that will be made available to other entities, there are those relating to student enrollments, which will no longer have to provide them themselves, facilitating their accreditation to qualify for aid and discounts in administrative procedures of autonomous communities and municipalities .
The participation of the UMU in the project, which collaborates with the Spanish Academic and Research Network (RedIRIS) and the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, is part of its actions to promote e-Government and the simplification of procedures Of its students and alumni.
