A doctoral thesis held at the University of Murcia (UMU) by Antonio Fernández Jiménez has highlighted the literary quality of the Murcia journalist Jaime Campmany, along with his poetic facet.
This research, which has obtained the qualification of outstanding cum laude, analyzes the work of Campmany (1925-2005) through its different creative stages, which start from the beginning in the Murcia Press and conclude as media columnist Dissemination.
Special interest lends itself to his writings on Murcia, in many of which he uses the autochthonous vocabulary and highlights the idiosyncrasy of his native land.
For the accomplishment of the doctoral thesis, its author has taken into account the documentation that is conserved in the Municipal File of Murcia and in the one of Madrid and in the Regional Library, among others.
This study was directed by UMU professor Javier Díez de Revenga.
