The Contracting Board concludes the procedures for awarding the San Esteban project "Opened by Works" (07/02/2017)

The pedestrian conditioning of the environment will have a budget of 142,000 euros plus VAT.

"San Esteban, Opened by Works" will be real soon, after the Contracting Bureau has processed the documentation presented by the company and resolved the proposal for the award to Hydraulics and Fraguados OYCO, with a budget of 142,798 €, plus VAT .

In this way, this municipal body has completed the management of this file, which is pending from the Accounting and Intervention reports prior to the agreement of the Governing Board.

The pedestrian conditioning of the environment of the San Esteban reservoir will allow Murcia and visitors to know on the spot and first hand the development of the recovery works of the site.

The works, which have a planned execution period of two months, will recover for the pedestrian the perimeter space of the old garden.

They will consist of the recovery of the current pavement in the perimeter of the Palacio de San Esteban and the construction of new sidewalks in the adjacent streets, as well as the integral renovation of the lighting system, which will be provided with greater power and lower consumption.

To do this, the current fence will be replaced by a steel railing that will open the space to anyone passing through the area, improving visibility and accessibility, as well as road safety, both for vehicles and pedestrians.

The project is now pending the Accounting and Intervention report to be able to raise the award proposal to the Governing Board and, thus, to sign the corresponding contract, thus giving way to the beginning of the works.
