The third and last edition of the "Generación Z" program celebrated its closing day with the presentation of projects and the award of diplomas to the last group of participants, at the Nursery of ITM Instituto Tecnológico de la UCAM.
Empowering the entrepreneurial capacity of unemployed young people, as well as developing and supporting projects that promote youth employability, has been the purpose of this initiative managed by the Catholic University of Murcia through the ITM, which has been supported by the European Social Fund framed in the Program of actions of Guarantee Juvenil.
The professionals and mentors who have participated in the program have been able to detect great opportunities, working with projects related, among other fields, to e-sports, online psychology cabinets, educational methodologies or e-commerce oriented to different sectors, These young people from the Region of Murcia enrolled in the Youth Guarantee System approach the job market professionally, through self-employment or entrepreneurship.
"After only 2 months since the first group was completed, more than 30% of the total number of students participating are integrated into the labor market, which is well beyond the initial indicators", says Sofía Fernández, Executive Director of ITM and responsible for Program.
"This kind of programs should be encouraged to help young entrepreneurs discover our true talent. Here I have discovered that I have skills in contact with people and great creativity," explains Mario Lorente Vidal, a human nutrition and dietician.
