Aguas de Murcia-Emuasa donates to the Jesus Abandoned Foundation more than 2,000 euros (06/02/2017)

The general director of the municipal company Aguas de Murcia-Emuasa, Jose Albaladejo, has delivered to the Jesus Abandoned Foundation a donation raised among the staff of this entity during the past Christmas.

As explained by Albaladejo himself, "the idea of ​​collaborating with Jesus Abandonado arose spontaneously during the Christmas meal of the company in the form of a collection," in which the workers collected among all a quantity, with the commitment of Emuasa to contribute the same amount.

Thus, the total donation amounts to approximately 2,000 euros, which will help to "the great work done by the Foundation Abandoned Jesus" with the most needy people in the Region of Murcia.

"Whenever we can help, we will be there," remarks the director general of the municipal water company.

For his part, the president of the Jesus Abandoned Foundation, José Moreno, thanked the gesture of employees and company, "who have had the generosity to donate this money to the people who are welcome and who make use of the resources of our institution."

Moreno stresses that "we want to convey our gratitude to each of the Emuasa workers for this contribution."

Likewise, the president of Jesus Abandonado has remembered this agreement with the City of Murcia, which allows to avail itself of the tariff 'Comedores Sociales'.

Thus, supply contracts belonging to non-profit entities (oenegés, foundations and associations), which supply drinking water to centers, premises or facilities where social dining services are dispensed and served, will be subsidized through Emuasa .

In this regard, José Moreno has emphasized that the Foundation has open showers every morning in the Center of Reception of the Road of Santa Catalina, as well as that have been giving shower and clean clothes for 20 years.

Only in 2016 did the Jesus Abandoned Foundation provide approximately 15,000 shower and wardrobe services.

In addition to the places in the Reception Center, housing or social pension, Jesús Abandonado has the services of the area of ​​employment, and health services such as nursing, psychology, psychiatry, dentistry or gynecology.

The Jesús Abandonado Foundation, which develops its work in the Region of Murcia together with the Hospital Order of San Juan de Dios, develops all its programs with an individualized, continuous and integral attention through a multidisciplinary team formed by social workers, psychologists, Nurses, auxiliaries and educators, with the reinforcement of volunteers.
