The Club Swimming City of Murcia has participated last weekend in the XXIII Championship of Spain Open Masters of Winter Swimming, held in the pool Son Hugo, Palma de Mallorca, where their swimmers have won three medals, this being their best Result in a national competition so far.
In this way the Murcia club has won two silver medals, Noemí Rodríguez in 100 meters butterfly and Pedro García in 50 meters back, and a bronze, also of Noemi Rodriguez in 50 meters butterfly.
The Swimming Club Ciudad de Murcia moved to Mallorca with a total of 11 swimmers, 4 women and 7 men, being in this championship the first time in Spain, it exceeds the barrier of 1,400 registered.
In total, 1,424 swimmers, 867 men and 557 women competed in Mallorca, representing 170 clubs.
In addition, in all the relay events disputed by the Club Natación City of Murcia they stood out among the ten best clubs of Spain.
Thus, in the second participation of the Murcia team in a Championship of Winter Spain, it obtained a meritorious 50th position among the 170 registered clubs, totaling a total of 294 points.
The swimmers of the Ciudad de Murcia Swimming Club are already preparing their next objective, the 1st Regional Masters Swimming Championships in Murcia, to be held on April 1st at the Murcia Mar menor pool and will be the first Autonomous Masters Swimming Championships Celebrated in Murcia.
