The deviation of the hydraulic networks of the City council affected by the AVE will end around Easter Week (03/02/2017)

On April 17 will be concluded the three sections of the trajectory of the AVE-Norte collector, which are those that have an impact on the connection with the high speed and at this moment have already been executed more than 26%.

The Southern Collector, in all its layout, does not affect the railway diversion necessary for the burial.

The rhythm of the diversion works of the hydraulic networks affected by the AVE will allow to finalize the works around Holy Week.

The railway diversion will be mounted on the route of the AVE-Norte collector, so that the City Council and Aguas de Murcia are giving top priority to this section, which has already been completed by 26%.

This was explained this morning by Councilor for Development, Roque Ortiz, who has taken stock of the state of execution of these actions, accompanied by the general director of Transport, Coasts and Ports, Salvador García-Ayllón, the managing director of Aguas de Murcia, José Albaladejo, and the Chief of Planning and Works-Directorate of Emuasa Operations, Sergio Pascual.

Of the three lots of works tendered to date, in coordination with ADIF and the Ministry of Development, priority has been given to the tracing of the AVE-Norte Collector (lot 1), on which the rail diversion will be mounted.

In any case, all the actions that condition the connection with the high speed run according to the expected periods and with the rhythm initially marked.

This section, divided into three sections, is scheduled to run for 6 months and will be completed in full on April 17.

- El Tajo 1: Between Senda Garres and Ronda Sur, it is currently running.

It started on October 17 and is scheduled to end on April 17.

- The Tagus 2: In Las Vegas Lane.

It will start next Monday, February 6.

It does not affect road traffic and is scheduled for completion on April 17.

- El Tajo 3: Between Calle Limonar and Calle Torre de Romo.

It will start one week later, the one of February 13.

The problem with traffic is to close the track on the north side rail, between Limonar and Pintor Saura Pacheco streets, and then move on to Torre de Romo (without affecting this route).

At all times the traffic will be coordinated to residents of Orilla de la Via Norte and Bualgas (sale of butane in Calle Naranjo), for maintenance of activity in the area.

It is scheduled for completion the week of April 17.

The works carried out by Aguas de Murcia also affect the AVE-Sur collector (lot 2), which has no impact on the rail diversion necessary for the burial.

The planned works period is 9 months, and at the moment is made 14%.

- El Tajo 1: Between Senda Garres and Arqueta de Confluencia.

The intense rains affected a part of these works that is not the stretch of the provisional road or the burial works, so it does not imply any consequence for the connection of Murcia to the high speed.

During the next week (6-10 February) work will be carried out to replace pavement to leave the passage open in this section of the Track Border of the Way, in order to make it compatible with the works of the Tagus 2. The works of this Tajo do not affect the arrival of the AVE.

- El Tajo 2: Between Senda Garres and Ronda Sur.

For reasons related to road traffic and maintenance of the activity of the area, it can not be concurred with the Tagus 1. For that reason, progress will be made with the execution of the works of this pit on February 13, for which it is necessary to allow The passage through the Tagus 1 and exit through Senda de los Garres or Trail of Tiñosa, since the Tagus 2 allows greater flexibility of access to the neighbors of the area by having almost all exit towards the Lane Orchard Alix.

This Tajo 2 will start from Senda los Garres towards Ronda Sur, taking into account that at no time will be counted the crossing of the track in Senda de los Garres, since the collector was already installed in this crossing at the end of the past month of October.

It is scheduled for completion on June 30.

Lot 3 is pending coordination with ADIF for the works of the bridge of the Trail of Tiñosa.

However, this lot does not interfere with the arrival of the AVE.

5.6 M € budget

The cost of these actions totals an amount of 5,679,156 euros.

Its execution was contemplated in the project drafted by ADIF, which obliged to solve all the affections of these works to the municipal hydraulic networks that EMUASA manages, prior to those of the burial, in order to guarantee the adequate service of sewage, potable water, Irrigation of the area and especially the drainage of the areas of the Barrios del Carmen, Infante, Santiago El Mayor, San Pío X and Barrio del Progreso.

The trajectory of the AVE-Norte collector coincides with the provisional rail diversion ADIF proposed to be able to start the execution of the walls of the structure of the burial.

Therefore, it was not possible to temporarily deviate the railroad track to maintain the train service and to start the AVE underground works until this collector was installed, at an average depth of more than 6 meters, hence the execution of Lot 1 Is a priority.

A multidisciplinary technical commission is in charge of coordinating the measures that are necessary to guarantee the urban mobility while these works are executed.

Traffic Measures

The programming of the works in the next few weeks in the northern collector does not imply any relevant innovation for the traffic, since the pit 2 has no affection to the circulation and the creation of the pit 3 is posed between the street crossings.

As regards the southern part, the same situation exists, and the passage of vehicles will be kept active by block 1.
