This day is framed within the actions to preserve the cultural and artistic heritage of the hamlet, a key goal that set Perona at the beginning of the legislature.

To this pilgrimage of the next day 5 of February, it is added the XXVIII Meeting of Squares of Torreagüera that was celebrated in February of the last year and XXVIII Pilgrimage of San Antón de Paco de las Borregas, among others.

Perona says that "the important thing is to recover our traditions, which are the essence of our beloved Torreagüera, and thus recover the historic heritage that houses this hamlet, an important legacy for Murcia."
