Starts the III edition of the cycle routes 'Moon Bike' and the I edition of free workshops by the Bicycle (01/02/2017)

'Moon Bike' offers ten free guided tours from February 11th.

In addition, starting February 26, the first edition of free workshops for the 2017 Bicycle will start, which will allow citizens to become expert users of the same, enjoying at the same time the parks and gardens of Murcia

The Councilor for Urban Planning, Environment and Huerta, Antonio Navarro Corchón, accompanied by the Councilor for Modernization of Administration, Urban Quality and Participation, José Guillén, presented, through the Bureau of the Bicycle, the third edition of the routes in Bike 'Moon Bike', which invites the Murcia to tour the municipality under the full moon from next February 11.

Due to the great acceptance of previous editions, only in 2016 participated more than 450 people, this year new routes have been included and ten routes have been organized, one more than in the previous edition, which will be extended until the end of the year.

Among the itineraries are the friendly way between Murcia and Alcantarilla, "La Aljufia", "Churra: the new and the old", "Between castles", "Alquibla", "Meanders and corners", "La Arboleja" Torreagüera "," The Reguerón "and" Gardens of Murcia ".

All routes will have as a starting point the Glorieta de España and the schedule will be at 19:00 hours in February, at 19:30 hours in March, October, November and December, and at 20:30 hours in the months most Hot

Free Workshops for the Bicycle 2017

In addition, the Department of Urbanism, through the Office of the Bicycle, will start from February 26 the first edition of free workshops by the Bicycle 2017, which will allow citizens to become expert users of the same, enjoying the same Time of the parks and gardens of Murcia.

This is a new municipal initiative that aims to help citizens in the knowledge of bicycle management, maintenance, repair, decoration, and learning to drive around the city.

The courses consist of practices in the parks and gardens of Murcia, which are safe spaces outside of traffic, so that the participants can live the experience with peace and enjoyment with it.

The initiative counts on the delivery of 9 training workshops ranging from "Learn to ride on Bike I and II" to "From route to the city" and in which participants will progressively learn to ride a bike, acquire mastery of the basic skills : To go out, to pedal, to turn and to brake, to practice by circuits of abilities, to learn to check the bicycle and to do a basic maintenance, to repair the bicycle to fix punctures, brakes and adjust changes, to personalize the bike and to circulate by the city.

At the end of the workshops, a card will be issued which will reflect the workshops surpassed by the users, as well as a diploma accrediting the knowledge acquired.

It is also possible for those who do not have a bicycle, but want to participate, request a municipal bicycle on 968200293, giving two days' notice.

Workshops are free for all audiences, and minors must be accompanied by an adult.

The program of workshops is as follows:

1. Learn to ride on Bike I and II will be taught in the artillery garden on Sunday, February 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

2. Skills circuit (initiation) will take place in the park Fofó on Sunday March 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

3. Circuit of skills (advanced / expert) also in the park Fofó on Sunday, April 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

4. Learn to check the bike in the park Abenarabi on Sunday, May 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

9. Route by the city, party of delivery of card and diploma in the park Abenarabi on December 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Group tour to practice all the learned and final ceremony of delivery of cycling card and commemorative diploma to the participants.
